Why does this site has to have a Datenschutzerklärung and what does it mean. I'm from germany, which means that the lovely german privacy laws apply to every publicly accessible website, even private blogs etc. So I need some kind of privacy notice, because my lovely nginx server is logging ""personal data"" (ips, browser meta data, user-agent, etc). And my hosting provider might log as well. Scary shit!
Meanwhile big "brother" cooperation sell every detail of our lives, I have to have a stupid privacy notice on my site. Even though I'm not using any cookies, I don't have any fill-in forms out here, there is not even a single line javascript running. But I need to inform you about what I'm doing with your precious ""personal"" data.
So yeah, tldr this is a privacy respecting website, I personally don't ""collect"" personal information except ip, and user-agent logs. But you can trust me that these logs will rot in /var/log/nginx/ till they get deleted after 7 days. And I use https only on this site, so all traffic between me and you is encrypted (it's kinda overkill, because this site is publicly available and you can't submit any kind of data on here, but hey, you have this cool lock showing besides the url). Keep in mind that your isp or my hosting provider can still see when which ip accessed this site.
